They would be rappelling out of helicopters with bullhorns, screaming demands in unison for Trump's immediate resignation.
It’s a trite rhetorical “thought experiment” at this point, this kind of ‘role reversal’ of asking ‘What if President Obama had done that?’ and the like.
But I still think most people, particularly those who—perhaps understandably—don’t obsessively follow politics, news, media, or democracy (now in its last season, it seems)—don’t fully appreciate how much the media DOUBLES ITS STANDARDS for Republicans and Democrats.

Newspapers and editorial boards across the nation would be demanding the immediate resignation of the president. On the front page. Everyday.
The White House press corps would arrive to the briefing with bullhorns, to amplify their screaming in unison, “WHEN WILL THE PRESIDENT RESIGN? WHY HASN’T THE PRESIDENT RESIGNED? DOES S/HE FEAR JAIL?”
CNN would have a Presidential Resignation Watch countdown clock in the lower righthand corner of the screen.
The press would be yelling “WHEN WILL YOU STEP DOWN IN HUMILIATION AND DEFEAT?” every time the president appeared.
Yes, folks; 100 days into the Trump Regime and it is absolute depravity, degeneracy, and absurdist levels of corruption, law-breaking, and authoritarianism here by the Republican-controlled United States government… though more properly called a “regime” than a “government” at this point.
As many of us saw coming miles away…
The Trump Regime / MAGA Regime is doing a Fascist Power Grab, the likes of which we have not seen during these 250 years of American history and the American Democratic Experiment.
And Way Too Many institutions are modeling cowardice and complicity.
But the media and the press are way out of their depth in this era of Fascist sea-level rise.
