TIPPING POINT. INFLECTION POINT.
"We are watching the Trump Administration lose normies in real time," says Right-Wing pundit. Now is the time to KEEP PUSHING against Trump's fascist regime!

When Renee Good was murdered…
…by out-of-control ICE agents in Minneapolis on January 7, I instantly informed readers of this Substack that this was going to be a major inflection point in the history of the Trump regime.
I didn’t need to hear anyone else’s take. I’d seen enough of history, politics, and movements in the past, and observed enough of the mood of the moment, to know how this was going to break.
The minute I saw the video, it was clear that no amount of Right-Wing-Noise-Machine spin, or Stephen Miller gaslighting, was going to stem the flood of righteous public outrage.
I immediately posted, at noon pst, on January 7: “BREAKING NEWS: ICE is About to Have Its Derek Chauvin Moment.”
By the evening of January 8, this idea was spreading, such as in this post by Josh Marshall with a similar sentiment, “A Turning Point for Trump’s Marauding Secret Police.”
A week later, the polls confirmed the country’s clear-eyed outrage.
Meanwhile, others were still catching up and chiming in.
In the history of social movements,
… protest movements, and revolutionary movements, time and again, the biggest waves of resistance arise from the people in reaction to a brutal violation by the authorities. Often one that is especially galling, or especially publicized. It is natural. It is physics. It is human.
The Selma-to-Montgomery March that empowered the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was a response to the brazen police shooting—in front of a crowd—of voting-rights activist, Jimmie Lee Jackson, who was killed while shielding his mother from a police beating.
The tragic truth is…
… usually it takes several sparks of incandescent courage and authoritarian overreach before the collective conscience of the community ignites.
Yesterday, the moral witness of Alex Pretti in the streets of Minneapolis may have dealt a major blow to the tottering Trump regime.
It falls to us to make it so.
We must Use Every Crisis as support and momentum to stop the fascist takeover of the United States by a Republican Party hell-bent on a neo-Nazi dictatorship. If that sounds overblown, then you simply haven’t been following the public communications of the U.S. government’s executive branch in the past year.
And you haven’t been following the ideological drivers and underpinnings of the MAGA political rampage these past ten years.
As I have noted previously, I started the hashtag, #NazisInTheWhiteHouse, after careful consideration and scholarly analysis, in 2016, before Trump took office, as soon as Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon were named to the incoming Trump White House team.
The warning lights have been blinking red, the sirens screaming, for a decade straight.
We can’t afford to miss any opportunities to stop Right-Wing totalitarianism and save the possibility of democracy. Do not be lulled into indifference by the beauty and growing strength of the myriad resistance. We are FAAAAAAAAAR from OK. Donald Fucking Trump and his appointed successors are clothed in the immense powers of the presidency FOR THREE MORE LONG YEARS.
TURNING POINT
Another ICE Murder in Minneapolis
Despite Elon Musk’s Twitter being a Nazi-stuffed hellsite, there is a loose sense in which it can still serve as an imperfect thermometer and barometer.
And, folks, in the aftermath of an even more obvious murder, and more transparent lies and disdain from the Trump regime… there is no doubt:
THE HEAT IS RISING AND THE PRESSURE IS BUILDING.
We have a responsibility to history, to the future, to democracy TO KEEP PUSHING NOW WITH ALL WE HAVE.
Fascist regimes don’t topple themselves. We’ve got to do it, collectively, through massive organization and mobilization. And voting all Republicans out.
Inflection Point: The Vibe Shift Is Real
Folks Ain’t Having It…
And remember, it ALL comes back to SCOTUS…
and that is why we urgently need a MASS MOVEMENT to restructure the Supreme Court…
Even people who ‘don’t talk about politics’ were moved to speak out yesterday…
… against the lawless, unconstitutional violence of the Trump regime in murdering Alex Pretti—including lots of sports journalists, and podcasters, and one NBA player, Tyrese Halliburton.
TEN YEARS AGO, in April of 2016, eight months before Election Day, I posted,
“Trump’s proto-fascism is an UNACCEPTABLE RISK. It must be PREVENTED. That ain’t fear-mongering, folks. It’s facts.”
Now that the message of Trump’s fascism is finally breaking through to the masses, it is imperative that we KEEP PUSHING.
Keep MOVING and UNITING in collective and courageous solidarity.
Movements are built on moments.
Moments that can pass.
Moments that can’t be squandered.
